Privacy

Here you can read what personal data is processed when you use this site, for what purposes, and what your rights are.

First, in brief

Who is responsible for the data

The controller of personal data is Angelova Single-Member Law Firm (Еднолично адвокатско дружество „АНГЕЛОВА“), BULSTAT 180710077, with its registered seat and address of management at 30 Aleksandar Dyakovich St, floor 1, office 5, 9000 Varna, Bulgaria.

For questions about the processing of your personal data and the exercise of your rights you can contact us at angelova@lawangelova.bg or +359 88 503 0505.

The law firm has not appointed a data protection officer. The law does not require one for activity of this kind and scale.

What the site does while you browse it

Nothing that identifies you. The site is static: there is no registration, no user accounts and no database.

Two settings are remembered in your own browser and are not sent anywhere:

Day or night mode
Keeps your choice so that you do not have to make it again on every visit. It stays until you clear your browser data.
The opening sequence
Remembers that you have already seen it, so that it does not play again. It disappears when you close the tab.

These are not cookies and they do not travel to a server. They sit on your device and you can delete them at any time from your browser settings.

The consultation form

When you request a consultation you give us your name, telephone number and preferred day and time, and — if you wish — brief information about the legal matter.

The data from the form is sent directly to the law firm’s official email address.

The legal basis is the taking of steps at your request prior to entering into a possible contract — Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation.

Please do not describe your matter in detail in this field. One sentence is enough to tell us what the consultation is about. The details will be discussed during the conversation.

How long we keep this

An enquiry not followed by an engagement
We keep the data for up to six months from the last communication, after which we delete it.
An enquiry followed by an engagement
The data becomes part of the file on the matter. Case papers are kept for five years from the closing of the case, in accordance with Article 47(1) of the Bulgarian Bar Act. Individual documents or data may be kept longer where the applicable legislation so requires.
Server logs
When you visit the site, the hosting provider automatically processes technical data needed for security and for the normal operation of the site. The logs are kept for 10 days, after which they are deleted automatically.

The server

When you visit the site, the web server automatically records technical data such as the IP address, the date and time of the request, the address requested and the type of browser used. This data is necessary for the normal operation of the site, for identifying technical problems and for protecting it against attack.

The processing is based on the legitimate interest of the law firm in ensuring the security and normal operation of the site — Article 6(1)(f) of the Regulation.

Hosting is provided by PS BG EOOD (UIC 205154997), which processes the data on behalf of the law firm under a contract. The servers are located in Bulgaria.

Third parties

The site does not use tracking tools and does not load embedded content from Google Maps, social networks or other external platforms.

The Contact page carries a link to Google Maps, and the Legal services page a link to a partner’s website. The site establishes no connection to those services until you choose the link. Once you open it, the processing of data is governed by the terms and privacy policy of that external site.

The Viber and WhatsApp buttons open the relevant application or the service’s web page. When you use one of those buttons, the processing of data is governed by the terms and privacy policy of the provider concerned.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to request:

Access
to be told what data of yours we process, for what purposes and on what basis
Rectification
to have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected
Erasure
to have the data deleted where there is no longer a legal basis for keeping it
Restriction of processing
in the cases provided for by law, to have the use of the data temporarily restricted
Portability
where the statutory conditions are met, to receive the data you have provided in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format
Objection
to object to processing based on legitimate interest

You can send your request to angelova@lawangelova.bg. We will reply without undue delay and no later than one month. Where the matter is complex in fact or in law, that period may be extended by a further two months, of which you will be notified. Exercising your rights is free of charge. Where requests are manifestly unfounded or excessive, in particular because of their repetitive character, the firm may charge a reasonable fee or refuse to act.

If you are not satisfied

For questions or objections about the processing of your personal data you can contact us at angelova@lawangelova.bg so that we can look into the matter.

Independently of that, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection:
